About ICHC

ICHC was founded by David J. Powell, Ph.D., in 2000. Dr. Powell and other dedicated trainers have trained trained on 5 continents, especially in China, Singapore, Nepal, Bhutan, and Europe. ICHC trainers include David Mee Lee, George Vailliant, David Smith, Carlton Erickson, Scott Miller, Craig and Jane Nakken, Jerry Moe, Mark Publicker and others.

Background

Since 2000, the International Center for Health Concerns (ICHC) has been dedicated to:

  • Assisting in the development of programs and services in addiction medicine, with a special focus on men’s issues in treatment, integrating spirituality into therapy and designing clinical supervision systems,

  • Providing information on best practices in behavioral health care prevention, intervention and treatment, with an emphasis on substance abuse,

  • Improving counseling and supervisory skills for caregivers, counselors, supervisors and concerned citizens through a variety of available courses and seminars for caregivers, counselors and concerned, engaged citizens,

  • Promoting dialogue on health care concerns with the aim of improving health care among civilians and military citizens and establishing areas of common ground among nations

ICHC'S PRESIDENT
Dr. David Powell is an internationally recognized author and lecturer and has spoken in 50 U.S. states and visited over 80 nations. He has published 9 books in the health field. His texts on clinical supervision are the standard books in the field. Learn more about Dr. Powell.
