Dr. David J. Powell, Ph.D. is President of the International Center for Health Concerns, Inc., and founder of the International Center for Addiction Studies. He has been in the mental health and addictions field since 1965. His nine books are primary texts in the field. He is a world-renowned trainer and consulting, lecturing in over 80 countries and all 50 U.S. states. He has served on advisory boards at Harvard Medical School and Johns Hopkins University. He is a licensed marriage and family therapist, licensed alcohol and drug abuse counselor, and Diplomat in the International Academy of Behavioral Medicine. He has lectured at Princeton, Yale, Rutgers, and other universities. He is currently assisting in the development of 12 Step programs and addiction treatment programs in China and other Asian nations. |
